Who We Are
A & Y Birthday Blessings is a Delaware nonprofit that provides free birthday celebrations, literacy experiences, and family support services for children ages 3–12 experiencing financial hardship and housing instability. Through Birthday in a Box, Read & Celebrate Storytime, and Community Celebrations, we help children feel celebrated, connected, and inspired to learn.

OUR PROGRAMS
Community celebrations
Quarterly group birthday celebrations hosted in partnership with schools, shelters, churches, and community organizations.
Our partners provide the location, and A & Y Birthday Blessings brings the celebration, complete with decorations, activities, gifts, and memorable experiences.
Read& Celebrate story time
A monthly interactive literacy program that brings stories to life through engaging read-aloud, hands-on enrichment activities, and social-emotional learning.
Each session is designed to inspire a love of reading while building confidence, creativity, and lifelong learning.
